You know the feeling: you want to have a great BBQ in the garden, but you dread cleaning it. The grill is full of ash and the cast iron grate has caked-on food residue. With these tips, your BBQ will be ready for new culinary adventures in no time!

There are many types of BBQs. From rectangular charcoal grills or round BBQs to cool tripod grills or stylish gas barbecues to picnic grills or electric grills. However, they all have one thing in common: they need to be thoroughly cleaned after use. Before you start cleaning your BBQ, you need to choose the right cleaning method for it.

Cleaning a Gas BBQ

A gas barbecue is relatively easy to clean. First, remove the removable parts. You can then use a special grill brush to remove the coarsest dirt and baked-on food residue. For stubborn dirt, soaking the parts in water first can help. With the brush, water, and an effective grill cleaner, you can then remove the last residue. Finally, clean the outside of the grill with a sponge and dish soap.

Cleaning an Electric BBQ

Electric barbecues are often compact, heat up faster, and get less dirty because they don't use coals. This makes them very easy to clean. You can usually easily remove the grill grate and remove burnt-on grease with a wire brush and a suitable cleaning agent. For insert plates with a non-stick coating, it's important to clean them carefully with a sponge. Brushing or scrubbing too hard will remove the non-stick coating. For the rest of the grill, a cloth with a mild grill cleaner and some warm water is sufficient.

The charcoal grill is still the most commonly used BBQ. Its many different shapes and variations make it versatile and offer something for everyone. The charcoal flavor makes food from a charcoal BBQ delicious, but cleaning it does require some attention. With the following tips and our handy accessories, it's a breeze.

First, you'll need a few basic products to clean your grill efficiently. First, you'll need a special grill cleaner with degreasing properties, a wire brush, and suitable cleaning and all-purpose cloths and sponges. You will also need a bucket of warm water and dish soap⁠.

Easter is popular for many different reasons. For some, it's a real family moment. Enjoying Easter breakfast or Easter dinner with the whole family. For others, it's that spring feeling, getting outside and breathing in the fresh spring air. For most children, Easter is often about just one thing: searching for Easter eggs! And eating them, of course.

Easter egg hunting is a tradition that many children look forward to all year long. As soon as they wake up, they know the Easter egg hunt can begin. With their Easter baskets at the ready, they wait until all the eggs are hidden. And then they can go out into the garden. Looking for as many brightly colored eggs as possible? Running around and enjoying the watery sunshine and the fresh spring air. And once all the eggs have been found, the big candy feast can begin.

Easter Egg Hunt: An Easter Egg Hunt with a Difference

If your children have outgrown the Easter egg hunt age, an Easter egg hunt is also a lot of fun. An Easter egg hunt is essentially a treasure hunt where children (and adults too) search for hidden Easter eggs or other treats.

Admittedly, setting up an Easter egg hunt takes a bit more effort and preparation, but the fun is just as great. How does an Easter egg hunt work? It's basically just like a regular egg hunt, but with an Easter theme. Make sure you plan a route beforehand. This could be in the garden, or simply inside the house. But even more fun and challenging is a park or a forest.

Make cards with fun clues, hints, or riddles and distribute them along the route along with the Easter eggs. Divide the explorers into groups, and the scavenger hunt can begin. The first group of Easter explorers to find all the eggs will, of course, receive a fun prize. Think of a large chocolate Easter bunny. If you hold the Easter scavenger hunt outdoors in the forest or a park, finish with a cozy picnic. It's sure to be an Easter celebration you'll never forget.

Other Easter Games

You probably won't be able to see an egg on Easter Monday. To help you get through the day, we have three fun Easter games (with and without eggs) for you:

1. Pin the tail on the bunny: a fun variation on pin the tail on the donkey, only you replace the donkey with an Easter bunny. Cut out a large Easter bunny and glue a pom-pom onto a pushpin. Blindfold and start poking.

2. Egg race: Divide into two teams and give each team a spoon and a hard-boiled egg. Then mark out a course. The team that gets the egg on the spoon across the finish line first wins. If the egg falls off the spoon, the player has to go back and start over.

3. Carrot toss: Empty three Easter baskets (if they're not already empty) and place them in a row a few meters apart, one a little further away than the other. Glue a piece of card with 5, 10, or 15 points on each basket. 5 for the basket closest to the basket, and 15 for the basket furthest away. Grab a bag of carrots (or balls) and have each participant throw five carrots. The one with the most points wins!
