FAQ
1. What are the conditions for receiving a K-Pass refund?
① Must be 19 years of age or older, ② Must reside in a K-Pass participating local government,
③ Must have used public transportation more than 15 times a month to receive a refund.
(Age) Only adults aged 19 or older are eligible (does not apply to children and adolescents).
(Residence) Available to residents of 189 cities, counties, and districts* participating in K-Pass.
* Seoul (25), Gyeonggi (31), Incheon (10), Daejeon (5), Sejong, Chungbuk (11), Chungnam (15), Gwangju (5), Jeonbuk (6),
Jeonnam (10), Busan (16), Daegu (9), Ulsan (5), Gyeongbuk (10), Gyeongnam (18), Gangwon (10), Jeju (2)
(Number of times) Refund is possible if you use public transportation more than 15 times a month*,
and up to 60 times (if you use more than 60 times, you will be refunded in the order of the highest amount).
* In the first month of membership, refund is possible even if you use less than 15 times a month.
※ Gyeonggi-do residents and Incheon citizens are supported for more than 60 times depending on the local government's additional benefits.
2. What transportation methods are covered by the K-Pass benefits?
K-Pass applies to nationwide subways, metropolitan buses, city buses, village buses, GTX, etc.
It does not apply to express/intercity buses, airport buses, KTX/SRT, etc. that require separate tickets.
3. Can I receive K-Pass benefits even if I use public transportation outside of my area of residence?
If you are a K-Pass member, you can receive K-Pass benefits anywhere in the country, even if you use public transportation outside of your area of residence.
4. What procedures do I need to go through to receive K-Pass benefits?
After issuing a K-Pass-only card (credit, check, or prepaid transportation card), you can receive benefits without additional procedures when using public transportation simply by registering as a member.
You can register as a member through the “K-Pass” app (distributed by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority) or Nurijip (korea-pass.kr).
5. Where can I get a K-Pass-only card?
There are a total of 23 K-Pass-only cards, and they are issued by a total of 10 card companies*.
* Shinhan, Hana, Woori, Hyundai, Samsung, BC, KB Kookmin, NH Nonghyup, Joy of Moving, DGB U-Pay
(Postpaid Card) General credit/check cards can be issued through card company apps/Nurijib, and some card companies (Shinhan, Kookmin, Nonghyup, Woori, Hana, etc.) can also be issued through banks.
(Prepaid Card) Mobile prepaid cards can be issued through mobile apps (Mobile Easy, Kakao Pay, iM One Pass) or physical prepaid cards can be issued at convenience stores, the Internet (Cashbee Shop), subway stations (Daegu area), etc.

■ Receive a 20-53% refund on public transportation expenses!
- We will refund up to 60 times in order of high savings amount when using 15 times per month.
- The first month of joining will receive a refund even if used less than 15 times, but savings of fewer than 15 times from the next month of joining will disappear.
- The basic savings rate is 20%, and young people aged 19-34 receive 30%, while low-income groups receive 53% in savings.

You must download and use the official app developed and distributed by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority, the K-Pass consignment operating agency.

■ The final amount will be transferred to the card company on the 5th business day of the next month following the savings month!
- According to the payment policy, the final refund amount will be passed on to the card company you are using.
- Please make sure to verify the actual payment date and method according to the credit, debit, or mobile payment policies of each card company.
- If you changed the card company during use, the entire amount will be transferred to the card company you are currently using at the time of final payment transfer.
