Corrlinks FAQ

1. How does Corrlinks work?

Corrlinks allows authorized users to send and receive secure emails from inmates. Users must create an account, purchase credits, and add inmates to their contact list. Inmates can then receive and respond to messages via secure kiosks within the prison.

2. How do I sign up for Corrlinks?

To sign up, you need to receive an invitation from an inmate. This invitation will contain an identification code. Visit the Corrlinks website, register by entering your email and the identification code, and complete your account setup.

3. What if I forgot my password on Corrlinks?

If you forget your password, use the password reset feature on the login page. Corrlinks does not provide direct customer support but has a system in place for password recovery.

4. Is there a fee to use Corrlinks?

While there is no fee for the public to use the service, inmates incur costs for sending messages, which are deducted from their commissary accounts. Additionally, there may be fees for printing messages.

5. Does Corrlinks have a mobile app?

Yes, Corrlinks offers mobile applications for iOS and Android devices, allowing users to access their accounts on smartphones and tablets.

6. Can all inmates use Corrlinks?

Not all inmates have access to Corrlinks; it depends on whether their facility has adopted the system. Primarily, it serves federal inmates but is expanding to state prisons as well.

7. How do I accept an inmate on Corrlinks?

When an inmate sends you an invitation, you will receive an alert via email. You must accept this request in order to start exchanging messages.

8. How do I block an inmate on Corrlinks?

You can block an inmate by selecting the appropriate option in your account settings. Be aware that unblocking requires sending a written request to the institution, making it a more complicated process.

9. What is the maximum length of messages I can send?

Messages can be up to 13,000 characters long (approximately 2,000 words). Keep in mind that this limit includes all letters, spaces, and punctuation.

10. Can I contact Corrlinks directly for support?

Corrlinks does not offer phone support; however, they provide online resources and FAQs for assistance.

11. Does Corrlinks provide video visit options?

Yes, some facilities offer video visits through Corrlinks. Not all facilities have this option available yet.

12. Can I send images or attachments to inmates using Corrlinks?

Currently, sending images or attachments is not permitted on Corrlinks; communication is limited to text-only messages.

13. What are the benefits of using Corrlinks?

Corrlinks provides a convenient and secure way for inmates to communicate with multiple contacts simultaneously. It is generally more cost-effective than phone calls and allows for regular communication, which can help reduce recidivism rates.

So, I was reading the last 4 reviews and it seems a lot of us are having trouble syncing with the server. It's been happening for a while now and it's really frustrating. You write a message to someone you care about and then when you try to send it, it just won't go through. Sometimes it even deletes the message! I hope this isn't happening to others. I don't know if Corrlinks has seen these reviews, but please, please fix this issue. I know $6.00 might not seem like a lot, but it would mean so much to be able to send messages to our loved ones, especially when they're waiting to hear from us on the outside. Thank you in advance if you can take care of this.

You’ve been using this for two years without any issues until the new update in March 2019. After the update, you no longer receive notifications when a message comes in. You appreciate the larger lettering but you miss having the notifications because now you have to keep checking randomly throughout the day to see if there's a new message. Also, it takes at least an hour and fifteen minutes before you receive a message or before your message is received by others. You figured this out by comparing the time when messages were sent. Please fix these issues. Thank you.

I have been using this app for a long time. It helps me stay connected with my loved ones. The only downside is that if your internet connection is not good, the messages may not sync properly. But with a strong internet connection, you won't face any issues. The messages are stored for a longer time and you get notified instantly when a new message comes in. There's no need for tedious captchas to prove you're not a robot when signing in to check your messages. Overall, it's a great app that I highly recommend.

There's a premier version available for $6 a year, and it's totally worth it. You don't need to sign in or deal with those annoying captchas after the first time. It's such a convenient way to stay connected with your loved ones. I just got it on my older, but brand new tablet, and I'm having trouble figuring out how to start a new email. But no worries, I can still reply to emails at least. Though I'm a bit concerned what will happen once my mailbox is full. I mainly use my phone for this app, and it works perfectly there. If you're new to the app, make sure to enable email notifications in your account settings so you can accept the inmate invite. The app was last updated in March 2019.

Using this app is a breeze and it is quite affordable. It would be nice if they could add a feature to send pictures or cards. The process seems a bit slow from when I send an email to the recipient actually receiving it, and vice versa. Despite that, the app overall is great. Plus, it's more cost-effective compared to making a phone call.

Sending emails to loved ones who are incarcerated is a wonderful way to stay connected, even though there may be a delay in them receiving the messages. This could be because the facility staff need to monitor and review the emails before passing them along. Despite this delay, it's still quicker than sending traditional postal mail. I've been frustrated lately because I renewed my Premium service on the app a month ago, but it hasn't been syncing properly. I've tried logging out and uninstalling the app, but it still won't load my messages. I have to resort to accessing my account from another device like a phone or laptop in order to retrieve my messages. I really hope they release an update soon to fix this issue!

I'm having trouble using CorrLinks to send emails. I've tried everything! I deleted the app, re-downloaded it, logged in and out, even turned my phone off and on. But still no luck. The worst part is that when I reach out to CorrLinks customer service for help, they don't reply at all. It's so frustrating! We pay for this service, so we should have reliable customer support that actually responds to our questions in a timely manner. What should I do now? Customer support is really letting us down!

Are you also experiencing the problem where it keeps saying unable to sync? This has been happening for the past three days, and I can't send messages even though there is money in my account. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but that didn't fix the issue. I really like this app and it's frustrating to have this problem all of a sudden.
