The "Car Widget" provides simplified and faster access to your phone's features when you're driving.
This widget allows you to designate one or more screens on your home launcher specifically for car use.
In contrast to Car Home applications, you will still be able to navigate other screens of your home launcher.
Access the widget settings through the application shortcut.

Effortless In-Car Control That Actually Minimizes Distraction
Car Widget transformed my chaotic highway drives into streamlined, eyes-on-the-road experiences by replacing my cluttered home screen with a purpose-built command center. Setting up an 8-shortcut dashboard with one-tap navigation, audiobook playlists, and direct-call contacts meant no more dangerous app-switching at 70mph. The Brushed Steel skin with high-contrast amber icons became my go-to for nighttime drives—utterly glare-free.
But the Pro version’s automation is where brilliance shines: pairing with my car’s Bluetooth instantly disables Wi-Fi, cranks media volume to 80%, and locks screen brightness at maximum (no more squinting at Google Maps!). During a road trip through mountain dead zones, the "Auto-Answer Calls" feature safely routed urgent calls through my speaker system without a single tap. Sure, it can’t unlock your phone or toggle GPS, but it doeseliminate 90% of screen-touches with surgical efficiency. For anyone who’s ever fumbled for Spotify while merging lanes—this is essential.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q: Will this override my regular home screen layout?
A: No! It sits on your existing launcher as a dedicated 4x4 widget (or larger). Swipe away to access your normal apps. Unlike Car Home apps, it coexists seamlessly.
Q: How reliable are the Pro automation triggers?
A: Flawless when combined. I set "Bluetooth + Charger" as my activation combo—widget launches instantly when I plug in and connect to car audio. No false triggers during flights or coffee-shop charging.
Q: Do I need root access for features like auto-brightness?
A: Not at all. WRITE_SETTINGS permission handles it natively on Android 5+. The app gracefully ignores unsupported functions per your device.
Q: Can I customize shortcuts beyond the default options?
A: Absolutely. I added Tesla controls, Waze hazard reporting, and my partner’s direct-message shortcut. Supports any app, contact, or playlist via drag-and-drop. Icon packs even theme it!
Q: Does the "disable screen timeout" drain battery?
A: Negligibly. It smartly deactivates when triggers disconnect (e.g., unplugging charger at destination). Use the included WAKE_LOCK permission toggle if concerned.
Safety Note: While Car Widget drastically reduces distraction, always program destinations/presets beforedriving. Use voice commands where possible.
