Canon Mini Print - Photo printing & personalization

I picked up this printer as more of a fun gadget than a serious photo printer. The print quality isn’t something I’m upset about. It’s pretty basic, yet it gets the job done. The app that comes with it though? Not so great. You can't enlarge images without worrying about them getting rotated. Plus, the frames only work with vertical 2:3 images, leaving horizontal 3:2 photos out in the cold. The rotate frame icon doesn’t even function. It means I have to edit pictures in another app first. And I can’t find any precut stickers here in Europe.

This printer is amazing! The quality of my pictures really affects how the prints turn out. Even if a picture isn’t perfect, the print still looks good. No waiting around with inkless printing means I can hold my picture right away without worrying about smudges. It’s lightweight and easy to take anywhere. Capturing a moment and adding it to my journal is such a fun experience. It feels priceless!

Sticky back and collage are great choices for cutting multiple small pictures. Printing out samples helps find the right shade. Balance is key to avoid faded or overly saturated colors. Make a note of combinations that work well for the next print. Never leave leftover zink paper in the printer. It can curl the edges and cause jams. Rolling the edges back flat may help, but it risks affecting the picture edges after printing. Store extra zink paper in a book or weigh it down to keep it flat.

This app is pretty straightforward. Two downsides caught my attention. First, it lags a bit at times. Second, downloading stickers and frames one by one feels tedious. I wish there was a way to grab them all at once. Clicking each one, waiting for it to load, then applying it to my photo takes a lot of time. Sometimes, I click on a sticker, it loads directly onto my photo, and then I have to backtrack to choose another one. It feels like a constant back and forth.

My device won't work with my Pixel phone. It pairs with the Inspic, but won’t connect. The purchasing website didn’t make it clear. The packaging shows compatibility with both iPhone and Android. I really hope the store takes it back. This situation feels frustrating.

I can download the app on my Note 8, but it doesn't find the device. It's not my phone settings causing this issue. Frustration sets in when you buy something and can't use it properly. UPDATE: I read someone else's review that mentioned turning on location fixed the problem. That advice worked wonders. Now the app runs smoothly. It only gets 4 stars because there was no mention of needing location settings in the troubleshooting section.

I’ve been using this app without any problems. Now I can’t download new frames or anything. Every time I try, it says download failed. It’s so frustrating. I uninstalled the app and restarted my phone. I’ve tried all the usual fixes, but nothing works. No support exists for this app either, just information about the devices.

This app is truly disappointing. Resizing photos with another app doesn’t help. They still print cut off. No resizing option exists, just clumsy manual adjustments. The sensitivity leads to crooked images every time. Plus, the photos often come out with borders. If this is the only app available for my printer, the printer becomes useless too. This situation feels like a waste of money. Fix the app, please!

Christmas came early this year. Unwrapped a special present. A tiny printer, the Ivy. I read through those fine instructions on my phone and got everything linked up. Scrolled through my gallery, picked out pictures to send. Stopped to snap more photos, and then it just turned off. Tried to print the last photo from the batch of ten, but nothing happened. Rebooted it, and it sprang back to life. Printed like a champ! Now I can add those little snapshots to my daily journal. Perfect touch for my memories!

The Ivy+ stands out with its Bluetooth feature, making it easy to print pictures straight from Facebook or Instagram. It also saves your files directly to your phone. Both cameras allow for duplicates, so you can share prints with friends. I recommend both, but the Ivy+ has my heart!
