Subscriptions marked as 'monthly' automatically renew every 1 month, and if not canceled at least 24 hours before the current subscription period expires, it will automatically renew. Even if you cancel the subscription within the subscription period, you can still use the service until the next renewal point. After purchasing the subscription, you can manage it in the Play Store account settings.
