Frequently Asked Questions

Troubleshooting

Q: Widget stopped working/Widgets is sometimes not updating. What is wrong?

A: Please make sure:

you don't use task killer/task manager. These programs are harmful and may cause that my apps stop updating.

you don't have custom ROM that is not stable (eg. Cyanogen 10). Unstable ROMs don't always work in the same way as standard Android. See I run custom ROM on my phone and your app does not work properly for more info.

application is not moved to SD card (eg. using App2SD)

Q: I don't see Battery Widget Reborn in the list of widgets...

A: Please check these:

Please make sure that app is installed in internal memory. According Google's spec Widget apps can't be moved to SD card.

If you run app on Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwitch please run app (not widget) from list of apps. Or try reboot phone. There is an Android issue that causes that widget is not immediatelly after installation visible in list of widgets.

Q: Android Market says that app is not compatible with my device although free version is...

A: There may be a lot reasons. Please check these:

You may try to buy app from country where paid Android Market is not available

If your phone it rooted or you have modified ROM then Android Market may get incorrect info about your phone. Ask your ROM vendor for help.

Clear Market Data and restart Market, Go to Settings/Applications/Manage Applications/Market/Clear Data

Check content filtering setting in your market settings. Change to show all apps

Check this post in Android Market Help forum.

Q: I'm owner of the license via Play Store (former Android Market) but app says that license verification failed....

A: This is rare situation that may happen:

If you have modified ROM and/or rooted phone. Solution: Ask for help at support forum of your custom ROM vendor.

If you are not connected to the internet and/or your connection is not reliable. Solution: Test your internet connection and try it again.

You have not standard Play Store installation and/or you killed Play Store with Task Killer. Solution: start Play Store or restart your phone.

If nothing of solutions above does help you can try:

Uninstall and install app again

Restart your phone and try it again

Stop using security software that blocks some apps. Play Store is using Google Talk for communication so killing of Google Talk may cause Play Store issues.

Please contact us in case app is still not working and we refund your payment. Sorry for inconvenience.

Q: Flight Mode does not work on Android 4.2 and later

A: Flight mode does not work on Android 4.2 because Google disabled API for it. There NO WAY how to bring this functionality back if you have Android 4.2 or later. We are working on update that fill reflect the change in API and will disable all radios that is possible (WiFi, Bluetooth, Background Sync, NFC, EDGE/3G data, ...). Only radio that can't be turned off is GSM/CDMA module. Sorry for that.

Feature requests

Q: Can be app moved to SD card?

A: According Google's specification (see http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/install-location.html#ShouldNot) widget applications can't be moved to SD card. Sorry for that.

Q: Is it possible to remove/replace system battery icon?

A: We are sorry but this is not technically possible. Left side of the notification area is dedicated for apps and right side is dedicated for apps.

Q: Is it possible to add more colors of notification icon? Can it be configurable?

A: We are sorry but all notification icons needs to be pregenerated in the time of build of the application. It is not possible to add them during app runtime so you can't customize their look and colors. Sorry for that.

Q: I run custom ROM on my phone and your app does not work properly

A: We are sorry but there are thousands custom ROMs around the world and we are not able to support them. If app does not work on unstable version of the ROM please report this to the ROM creator. We can refund your payment if app does not work as excpected but we will not debug what is wrong on unstable ROM. This is not economical for us. Sorry for that.

This app should show the real battery level as its icon. The current static display of 75% feels outdated. For those who struggle to see small notifications at the top, this change would be incredibly useful. That’s why I downloaded the app in the first place!

This app makes life so much easier. I have an 8000 mAh battery in my LG V20. With this app and my battery, I can go a whole week on one charge. My carrier keeps pushing for me to upgrade to a new phone. I tell them no way. My LG V20 runs a 2 TB micro SD card. The combination of this battery app and my massive battery outperforms anything new on the market.

On February 24, I got my new A54 phone. The widget looks absolutely beautiful. Huge thanks for that! On April 22, I noticed the option for larger numbers. That’s so awesome! Again, thank you! Then, on June 21, I realized it works great on any phone. Changing colors is super easy. Paying $2.49 to remove ads feels like a perfect way to show appreciation.

It would be great to save settings for use across different devices. The app performs well and has a clean look on the home screen. After the last update, though, the custom colors aren't displaying right. Yellow is missing from the color palette too.

Watch out! I paid for the upgraded version. The price was $4.99 with a discount, bringing it down to $3.99. But guess what? They charged my account $5.39. It feels like they are stealing from me! The developer promised to cancel the purchase but never followed through. Now, I can't get any response to my emails!

After trying out four charger apps for three weeks, this one has become my favorite. I gave it four stars to nudge the developer to think about adding an indicator on the app icon for the charge level. Some skilled Mac developers can pull this off, but it might be a challenge for Android. If they find a way to make that happen, then it definitely deserves a full 5 out of 5. Great job overall!
