The ASAN service centers were created following the Decree No. 685 issued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on July 13, 2012, and operate under the State Agency for Citizens Service and Social Innovations affiliated with the President.

These "ASAN service" centers are designed to offer state services in a unified and coherent manner.

The objective of "ASAN xidmət" centers is to develop a new strategy for enhancing citizen satisfaction regarding the performance of civil servants, thereby elevating the relationship between civil servants and citizens to a more advanced level.

The operations of these centers are founded on principles such as efficiency, transparency, politeness, accountability, and adaptability.

The duration of the permanent residence permission in the Republic of Azerbaijan is 5 years. The duration of the permanent residence permission can be extended for more 5 years in accordance with the new application by a foreigner or stateless person 3 months left until the end of the permission period. The extension numbers are not restricted.
