Amazon Alexa - Voice assistant & smart home control

There have been some changes in the updates that made it harder for me to control my Pandora playlist effectively using the app. It's easier for me to just connect to my phone's Bluetooth and use the Pandora app. Accessing skills has become more complicated, and the functions of my older model Alexa Echo device don't seem to work properly anymore, like adjusting the equalizer and volume control.

Alexa is so helpful! It can play soothing sounds or music, set reminders and alarms, and much more. I like using it to listen to news or music while I shower. I even connected my doorbell camera to Alexa so I can hear the chime in any room. It's definitely worth the investment.

I really like Alexa. Sometimes I worry about my security because it feels like more things are being connected to it. It's so convenient for creating shopping lists, listening to music, watching TV and managing security. I remember a time before we had apps, cellphones, and even microwaves for cooking. While I know it's not all perfect, it's also not all bad. As someone who often forgets things due to medication, Amazon Alexa has been an amazing innovation. Thank you.

The updates for this app have made things more complicated. Now, you need to choose more options just to see a list of devices, which wasn't the case before. Also, when I try to connect to a device, sometimes it shows the "learn more" option that I have to dismiss first. These problems need to be fixed so that the app can be user-friendly once again.

I don't use Alexa to fullest advantage, but only because she does so many things. The suggestions are a great start, and I'm constantly surprised at all the capabilities of this tiny little device. Music sounds full and rich, which is what I've been using the most with Amazon Music unlimited (which is also amazing). I like the reminder function, which helps me take medications and get to bed and appointments on time. I can hardly wait to learn more functions use her more.

I'm frustrated with Alexa. I like having her read from my Kindle, but she keeps randomly jumping back in the book and it's hard to get her back on track. Sometimes she can't connect to the network even though I'm connected to WiFi. And she interrupts when I'm listening to Audible. These issues happen every time. Alexa needs to be fixed.

My Alexa app is draining more battery than my always-on display even though I barely use it. The app is using a significant portion of my phone's battery, and the routines are not running consistently, especially with my Aqara FP2 device. It would be helpful to have a search function on the "all devices" page.

I love this tech. I can connect my door lock even though I initially decided against it, which is still a cool feature. Every light in my house is equipped with an Alexa-controlled light bulb that can change to any color I want. They can be turned on and off with just a voice command or by pushing a button on the app whether I'm at home or away. The routines you can set up make life more manageable and hands-free. The security features are really cool, some of them are even funny.

I enjoy the app and its functionality, but I have some complaints about the skills. I wish I could sort new skills by rating and view ratings more easily. It's inconvenient that the app doesn't remember if I sorted my skills alphabetically or by most recent. Also, when I go back after checking a skill, it doesn't remember where I left off. If I disable a skill, I have to navigate back to the skills section all over again. Another issue is that trying out a skill automatically adds it, which I don't like. Additionally, I can't use voice search.

I can't believe this has the brand Alexa and Amazon on it. The app is so badly programmed. It can't even do something simple like playing music on an Alexa device properly. It takes forever to show what's playing, and if you try to change it, it gets stuck and you have to check the device in person to see if it worked.
