How to Exit a Discord Server You've Set Up
Maybe the Discord server you wish to leave is the one you founded. In such a situation, you can still leave it relatively easily, yet there are a few additional steps in the process. A Discord server can't operate without an owner, so you won't be able to leave until you've sorted that out.
You'll have to transfer the ownership first before you can exit the server.
To quit a Discord server you established on a desktop computer:
1.Navigate to Discord.com or launch the desktop application and sign in.
2.Select the server icon of the Discord server you set up.
3.Beside the server name, click on the dropdown menu.
4.Choose Server Settings. Then, scroll down and click on Members.
5.Next to a member's name, click on the three - dot menu.
6.Select Transfer Ownership.
7.On the confirmation pop - up dialog, tick the acknowledgment checkbox and then click Transfer Ownership once more.
Once you've completed that, you can follow the standard procedures to exit the server, just as you would for a server you don't own.
To quit a Discord server you created on a mobile device:
1.Launch the Discord app and log in.
2.Press on the server icon of the Discord server you founded.
3.Next to the server name, tap the three - dot icon.
4.From the server card that shows up, select Settings.
5.On the Settings menu, scroll down to the User Management part and tap Members.
6.Tap a member, and then choose Transfer Ownership.
7.Tap the acknowledgment prompt and then hit Transfer.
Once you've completed these steps, you can follow the same process to leave the server as you would for a server that isn't yours. If you don't wish to transfer the ownership, you can opt to delete your Discord server instead.
